Retirement of Shk. Abdenasser Zouhri as JIAR Imam

Dear Esteemed Community Members:

Assalamu Alaikum. With mixed feelings and deep gratitude, I would like to let you know that our respected Imam, Shk. Abdenasser Zouhri, has decided to retire from Jamaat Ibad Ar-Rahman (JIAR) as of November 1, 2025. Shk. Abdenasser has served the JIAR and Triangle communities as a religious leader, Imam, mentor and above all, a community member for more than 30 years. He has been the part of JIAR history in fostering spiritual growth, promoting unity, and upholding the values of Islam in the area for this long period of time. Numerous children in this community have grown up under his loving affection and spiritual guidance; his leadership has been a source of inspiration for many of us. 

Please join me to extend our gratitude to Imam Abdenasser for his outstanding contribution and let’s pray together to Allah SWT for him and his

family. We will miss his presence dearly.

I am pleased to announce that the JIAR Board has planned to organize a special community farewell to honor the Imam properly. More information in this regard will be communicated to you soon inshaAllah. Additionally, the Board has established a special committee to manage the transition process and the search for his successor. May Allah SWT reward the Imam abundantly for his time and dedication in the community and grant him a peaceful and fulfilling retirement! Ameen.
