Blessed Ten Days of Thul Hijjah and Eid Ul Adha Announcements*

Assalamu alaikum,

JIAR extends warm wishes to the community for the blessed ten days of Thul Hijjah, including the Day of Arafat and Eid Ul Adha. Here are some important details regarding our Eid prayers:

Since Eid falls on a Friday, those who attend Eid prayer will not be required to attend Jumuaa prayer but will need to perform Zhur prayer instead.

For those who missed Eid prayer or wish to attend Jumuah prayer, JIAR has made special arrangements:

– Parkwood Masjid:
Two Jumuah shifts will be held
– Fayetteville Masjid:
One Jumuah shift will be held as usual

Fasting on the Day of Arafat:

We highly encourage everyone to fast on the Day of Arafat, which falls on Thursday, June 5th (tentative date based on moon sighting). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that fasting on this day will expiate the sins of the previous year and the coming year.
