Covid-19 Vaccination at JIAR Parkwood

As-Salaamu-Alaikum dear community members.

JIAR & ICM have partnered with the VaxOn to offer a Covid-19 vaccination clinic, next Saturday, Mar 27th for qualifying groups at Masjid Ibad Ar-Rahman at Parkwood on
5122 Revere road,
Durham NC 27713

We have to have at least 100 registrations to have this vaccination clinic, so please sign up if you qualify and spread the word

Note: This is the Moderna vaccine, Pfizer vaccine might be available at the time of the clinic, but it’s not guaranteed.

You qualify if you are:
Above 65yrs old
OR
18 to 65 yrs old with at least one of the following conditions:
*You are a Healthcare worker
OR
*Provide Childcare or pre-k to 12 grade teacher
OR
*Frontline Workers – (Including e.g. Work at a store or deal with public)
OR
You have any of the following health conditions:
• Asthma (moderate to severe)
• Cancer
• Cerebrovascular disease or history of stroke
• Chronic kidney disease
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
• Cystic fibrosis
• Diabetes type 1 or 2
• A heart condition such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy
• Hypertension or high blood pressure
• Immunocompromised state (weakened immune system) from: immune deficiencies, HIV, taking chronic steroids or other immune weakening medicines, history of solid organ blood or bone marrow transplant
• Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, including Down Syndrome
• Liver disease, including hepatitis
• Neurologic conditions such as dementia and schizophrenia
• Pulmonary fibrosis
• Overweight or obesity
• Pregnancy
• Sickle cell disease (not including sickle cell trait) or thalassemia
• Smoking (current or former).
